Bo Hedfors and Dr. Yossi Zilberfarb Join AirWalk’s Board of Advisors
RICHARDSON, TX—April 18, 2007: AirWalk Communications Inc., an innovator of 3G IP Radio Access Network infrastructure, announced today that Bo Hedfors and Dr. Yossi Zilberfarb have joined AirWalk’s Board of Advisors. “AirWalk is extremely pleased to welcome these two internationally recognized industry leaders to our Board of Advisors,” said Serge Pequeux, president and CEO of AirWalk Communications. “Their expertise and experience will bring invaluable assistance as we expand our business of delivering next generation IP Radio Access Network solutions for cellular service providers worldwide.”
With over 39 years of experience, Bo Hedfors is the founder of Hedfone Consulting Inc., a telecom/internet consulting practice. Previously, Hedfors was Executive Vice President of Motorola and President of its global wireless infrastructure business. He came to Motorola in 1998 from Ericsson, where he spent 30 years in various management positions including, President of Honeywell Ericsson Development Co. in Anaheim, California; Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of LM Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden; President and CEO of Ericsson, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Hedfors holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden and he is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.
Dr. Yossi Zilberfarb has 33 years of global telecom experience in both development and implementation of wireless systems. Currently, he serves as a VP Business Development of AudioCodes, a leading VoIP company. He was responsible for expanding AudioCodes presence in China and Hong Kong as the AudioCodes China General Manager. Previously, Dr. Zilberfarb was VP Business Development at ModemArt, a 3G UMTS Silicon company. In addition, he has served as the President and founder of CommPrize, held several executive management positions at Motorola Israel Wireless Access Systems Division and led the Qualcomm Israel team as Chief Engineer. Dr. Zilberfarb holds a BsC EE (Cum Laude) and Msc EE degrees from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology Haifa. He also holds a PhD from the City University of NY (CUNY). The addition of these two industry veterans to AirWalk’s Board of Advisors will help accelerate the Company’s product innovation and marketplace momentum.
