AirWalk Communications Announces 1xEV-DO Revision A Products

Addressing Worldwide CDMA Mobile Markets

RICHARDSON, Texas, March 27, 2006 – - AirWalk Communications, an IP Radio Access Network (IP-RAN) developer for CDMA wireless voice and data networks, announces plans to offer CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A technology that delivers the latest 3G applications and services.

1xEV-DO Revision A products are optimized for packet data service and support peak data rates of 3.1 Mbps on the forward link and up to 1.8 Mbps on the reverse link. The high data rates on the reverse link and low data latency will enable CDMA service providers to deliver rich multimedia services, at the lowest cost per bit compared to the previous cellular technologies.

“AirWalk has initiated an aggressive development program to deliver 1xEV-DO Revision A” said Serge Pequeux, CEO of AirWalk Communications. “I am confident that with our 1xEV-DO Rev. A products, both service providers and their customers will benefit from new data services and reliable high speed applications.”

AirWalk’s 1xEV-DO Rev. A network will allow CDMA service providers to deliver advanced wireless multimedia services to their customers with a migration path to new services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) in the future. AirWalk’s all IP CDMA products deliver reduced CAPEX and OPEX, enabling service providers to maximize their network investments.

The 1xEV-DO Rev. A products are stand alone units based on AirWalk’s existing AW-Series modular and stackable IP based integrated BTS/BSC architecture. These products are compact and inexpensive and will be offered in pico/micro/macro configurations.

AirWalk’s CDMA 1xEV-DO Rev. A solution is planned for commercial availability in fourth quarter 2006.
